FirstPath Autism provides psychologists, school officials, and other professionals the resources they need to support children with autism and their families.
Our unique video series shows real interactions between children with autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)-trained professionals. ABA therapy has the highest success rate and is the most widely recommended treatment for autism.
FirstPath Autism’s treatment videos reveal the instructional approach used at the Genesis Behavior Center (GBC). Parents and professionals can use the videos independently or in conjunction with other skills training and behavioral management.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy is based on the research and findings of B.F. Skinner. Later, O.Ivar Lovaas discovered that ABA therapy could successfully treat autism.
Over the past decade, FirstPath Autism’s founder Romina Kiryakous, has developed an ABA approach to autism treatment that achieves an 85%-95% success rate.
Children in our Early Start Program (1-3 years old) come to us with developmental growth rates below the norm; their rates of development lag behind their more typical peers and some have even stalled. For example, a child who should have a developmental age of a 2-year-old may come to us with an overall developmental age of a 1-year-old child or younger. Not only do the developmental rates of the majority of our young clients get back on track at a more typical rate — some have surpassed that rate, gaining an average of 5-1/2 developmental months in one month’s time.
